Capital Therapy Services is locally owned and operated.
Our team currently consist of a number of speech pathologists, an Allied Health Assistant and a Clinic Support Officer.
All speech pathologists are members of Speech Pathology Australia and are Certified Practicing Speech Pathologists.
All staff are registered to Work with Vulnerable People in the ACT.

Clinic Support Officer
Hannah, a lifelong Canberra local (albeit a very well travelled one), joined our team in early 2021 to support our growing clinic.
Hannah loves helping others, and enjoys supporting our team to provide high quality services to our clients.
Hannah is creative and artistic, she loves to travel and enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephews.
Principal Speech Pathologist

Georgia moved from her Queensland home to Canberra to join the Capital Therapy Services team in mid 2015.
Georgia enjoys working with all children with speech, language, fluency (stuttering) and early literacy difficulties. However, her passion is children with Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS).
Georgia is trained in the Lidcombe Program (for stuttering) and The Nuffield Program and PROMPT (for speech sound disorders), and is experienced with the ReST Program (also for speech sound disorders).
On the weekends you’ll find Georgia sewing and spending time with her friends.

Anita joined the Capital Therapy Services family in early 2021, initially as an Allied Health Assistant before graduating as a Speech Pathologist.
Anita enjoys working with children with speech, early language, language and stuttering difficulties. She is trained in the Lidcombe Program (for stuttering) and the Nuffield Program (for speech sound disorder).
Anita speaks fluent Mandarin and English and enjoys working with multicultural and multilingual families.

Kate joined Capital Therapy Services in January 2023 . Her personal
experience as the parent of a child who stuttered and completion of the Lidcombe Program at Capital Therapy Services, sparked a career change from architecture to Speech Pathology. Kate is trained in the Lidcombe Program (for stuttering) and enjoys working with children with speech, fluency, early language and early literacy difficulties.
On the weekends you will find Kate gardening or exploring Canberra with her family.
Allied Health Assistant
Chloe is a Canberra local who joined Capital Therapy Services in February 2022 as an Allied Health Assistant. She has a passion for helping children and families meet their individual goals.
Chloe works part-time while studying a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at the University of Canberra.
In her spare time you can find her at the beach or spending time with friends and family.
Allied Health Assistant / Soon to Be Speech Pathologist

Vegnesh joined Capital Therapy Services in October 2024 as an Allied Health Assistant and will transition to the role of Graduate Speech Pathologist upon completion of his degree.
Vegnesh moved from Malaysia in 2017 and has enjoyed living in Canberra ever since. He has a passion for working with children and grew up wanting to work in the health field. He enjoys working with children with speech, language, literacy and stuttering difficulties.
He is known by his friends for being a social butterfly but also enjoys watching TV shows or reading in his downtime.
Director, Practice Manager, & Speech Pathologist

Originally from Tasmania, Janelle moved to Melbourne to complete her speech pathology degree, before continuing to Canberra in 2003.
Janelle really enjoys working with children with speech sound difficulties, including Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS).
She is experienced across many therapy approaches and programs and is trained in the Nuffield Program and PROMPT (for speech sound disorders), the Lidcombe Program (for childhood stuttering) and is experienced with the ReST Program (for speech sound disorders).
When Janelle is not at work she enjoys investigating her family history and spending time outdoors with her husband and two daughters.

Sam was born and raised in Canberra before moving to Queensland to study speech pathology. She spent the following years in Queensland and England before returning to Canberra.
Sam enjoys working with children with speech sound difficulties, toddlers who are late to talk and children with language difficulties.
Sam is trained in the Nuffield Program (for speech sound disorders) and is experienced in implementing the ReST Program (for speech sound disorders).
Outside of work, Sam plays golf and enjoys time with her family.
